A Cosmic Piety by P B Taylor

A COSMIC PIETY br br Mountainous fit red waves br Of silent thought droop die br Blood drips and drains away br Leaving the bosom of my mind br br In space and void canyons br Of clouds I see the time fly br To ask and spare us br Red perilous rocks of my mind br br Mixture of sweet tenderness br Idling reverence is still there br In that simpering Power greed br Floats a moat of memorable dust br br For always I hope to see that br I am still slowly travelling somewhere br Not remaining an insignificant dot br Wheeling the Earth’s soft crust br br My thoughts as damp leaves br Whirled away from winter winds br Such roaring lion-like pieces br A cosmic piety blowing loudly br br A flowering figure rises up br As that bright winter sun spins br So alone in time and space br I see Snowdrop smiling softly br br Her bare rustling reeds sway away br The frozen red river nods at my friend br Sounds and smells like willow boughs br Creaking at our loving lost delicacy br br br Amersham.
