Taiwan launched its first domestically made missile corvette on December 15, 2020. The Ta Jiang is armed with subsonic missiles that can destroy targets on land or sea, such as an aircraft carrier. It is also equipped with stealth technology to avoid detection. The corvette is designed to defend against a possible attack from mainland China.
