Union Home Minister Amit Shah is in Assam on his two-day visit. On Sunday, Amit Shah offered prayers at Kamakhya temple. In Imphal, he is laying the foundation stone of various projects. Addressing a public meeting, he said Northeast was known for separatism and violence. But in the last 6 years, almost all armed groups laid down arms one after the other. Violence has subsided.
