Almost a billion-rands. That's the amount spent by the State Security Agency's Special Operations Unit. According to a witness identified only as 'Ms K', this was done without proper accounting. And only done for the benefit of former President Jacob Zuma and other high ranking officials. Ms K was part of Project Veza which probed criminal activities and irregularities within SSA between 2009 and 2018. She's been testifying at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry.
