PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has pointed out the irony of Malaysia expressing “serious concern” about the suspension of democracy in Myanmar.br br He said this happened after Malaysia also declared a state of emergency and suspended Parliament on Jan 13, purportedly to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.br br The military in Myanmar last Sunday (Jan 31) declared a state of emergency and suspended the democratically-elected government on purported grounds of election fraud.
