Central Visayas Police, with the DSWD and the AFP, entered the University of San Carlos – Talamban Campus, and took at least 40 Lumad students – many of whom are still minors – into their custody on Monday, February 15. The police called it a "rescue operation," but there is little evidence to show the students were being held in captivity.
