br br More jobs have been eliminated at HNI Corporation's Muscatine, Iowa plant because of declining sales of office furniture. br br The Muscatine-based company made the announcement on Thursday, but did not disclose how many jobs were cut. The company chose not to release the number because of the difficulty in making sure it is accurate. br br HNI Corporation is the second-largest office furniture manufacturer in the world and employs about 4,000 people in Muscatine.
