Brian Molefe says he found the Eskom war room to be useless. And that's why he chose not to attend the meetings as CEO. The war room was set up by former president Jacob Zuma in 2014 to help solve the problems at the power utility, including loadshedding. That was before Molefe's appointment in 2015. The war room was led by then deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa and was subsequently shut down.
