Before the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, the Election Commission directed to remove hoardings of central schemes bearing the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from petrol pumps within 72 hours. The commission has given this order on the complaint of the ruling party Trinamool Congress of the state. The TMC had complained to the Election Commission citing violation of the Electoral Code of Conduct.

पश्चिम बंगाल में आगामी विधानसभा चुनावों से पहले चुनाव आयोग ने पेट्रोल पंपों से 72 घंटे के अंदर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की तस्वीर वाले केंद्रीय योजनाओं के होर्डिंग हटाने का निर्देश दिया,. आयोग ने ये आदेश राज्य की सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी तृणमूल कांग्रेस की शिकायत पर दिया है. टीएमसी ने चुनावी अचार संहिता उल्लंघन का हवाला देते हुए चुनाव आयोग के पास इसकी शिकायत की थी.
