CISF "Navrang" Mela-2016 organised at CISF Campus, Saket, New Delhi from 15th to 17th Jan, 2016 was inaugurated by Smt Savitri Singh, WO Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Home Minister at 1100 hrs. Smt Gunita Singh & Shri Surender Singh DGCISF welcomed Smt Singh and presented a bouquet. Smt Nita Pachnanda & Shri R K Pachnanda, ADGCISF, Dr Manu Bhatnagar & Shri R R Bhatnagar, ADGCISF and large number of CISF senior Officers, their families, force personnel with families, children and school children were also In her welcome address, Smt Gunita Singh, President Sanrakshika Wo Shri Surender Singh DGCISF highlighted the welfare activities being undertaken by CISF Wives Welfare Association “Sanrakshika” in all the field units. She said that workshops are organized for the awareness of the CISF families on health and other various subjects. Endeavours are being made to impart training on handicraft items, soapshampoo etc. This "Mela" event is a major welfare activity and the profit would be utilized for the welfare of the Jawans. Smt Gunita Singh said that it was an effort to showcase cultural richness of our country through the Units spread in all parts of the country. We have assembled a "Mini Bharat" at Saket by placing handicraft items, textiles, useful items cuisinesfood items etc. She thanked Smt Savitri Singh for sparing her valuable time to inaugurate CISF Mela. While addressing the gathering, Smt Savitri Singh said that it was a good and sincere effort by ‘Sanrakshika’ and it would bring joy to CISF personnel and their families from strenuous daily routine and operational duties. She praised the efforts made by CISF Wives Welfare Association “Sanrakshika” for organizing various programmes for the welfare of the CISF families. On the occasion, she distributed the scholarship and sports meritorious certificate to the wards of CISF and wished that this will act as catalyst in motivating other wards to reach this milestone. She wished her best wishes for CISF Mela. She took a round of all stalls installed by North, South, East, West, North East, Airport and Training Sectors of CISF and praised for collection of itemsarticles.
