After some confusion earlier in the week with him potentially leaving for Indiana, this was a great win to have under his belt. Stevens talked about the way Boston’s defense is steadily improving. He stated that he thinks the “defense is structurally improving,” and is encouraged by the improvements. The Celtics coach also talked about the player and ball movement in this one, which has been an issue all season long. Stevens said that he thought the guys “played with the right mindset today.” With that in mind, he also acknowledged that the team has a long way to go. He put it like this: “let’s put a few weeks together of this and we might be onto something.” This win broke a three-game losing streak for the Celtics.
