A total of 81 of 401 fresh samples sent by Punjab for genome sequencing have tested positive for the new UK Covid-19 variant that is suspected to be fuelling a second wave in the state.“As Delhi’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has found that 81 of the samples has the new variant identified as B 1.1.7, there is a high likelihood of the UK strain stoking the fresh spike in Punjab,” Dr Rajesh Bhaskar, Covid-19 nodal officer, Punjab, said.Watch video,br br देश में एक बार फिर से बढ़ते कोरोना के बीच पंजाब से हैरान कर देने वाली खबर सामने आई है. पंजाब में तेजी से बढ़ते केसों के बीच कोरोना का नया स्ट्रेन मिलने से हड़कंप मच गया है. सरकार ने 401 सैंपल जांच के लिए भेजे थे जिनमें से 81 फीसदी में यूके का नया स्ट्रेन मिला है. इसके बाद मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने लोगों से जल्द से जल्द वैक्सीन लगवाने की अपील की है.
