The Federal Government is spending $1.2 billion on a stimulus program to get people to travel domestically. 13 regions are included in the program, which features half-price airfares through Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin. Simon Westaway from the Australian Tourism Industry Council says it's a good 'first step' but an expansion is needed to help the struggling tourism sector.
