The 80-year-old Australian man returned from the Philippines via PNG on March 20, tested positive on day five in hotel quarantine and was being treated in the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young says she believes the man acquired the virus in the Philippines.
