Italy National Anthem (Instrumental 2.) Il Canto degli Italiani

"Il Canto degli Italiani" (Italian pronunciation: [il ˈkanto deʎʎ itaˈljaːni]; "The Song of the Italians") is a canto written by Goffredo Mameli set to music by Michele Novaro in 1847, and is the current national anthem of Italy. It is best known among Italians as the Inno di Mameli ("Mameli's Hymn"), after the author of the lyrics, or Fratelli d'Italia ("Brothers of Italy"), from its opening line.brThe song was very popular during the unification of Italy and in the following decades in the 19th century. After the Second World War, Italy became a republic, and Il Canto degli Italiani was chosen, in October 1946, as a provisional (de facto) national anthem. It finally gained de jure status in 2017.brbr(English Lyrics Translation)brBrothers of Italy,brItaly has woken,brBound Scipio's helmetbrUpon her head.brWhere is Victory?brLet her bow down,brFor God created herbrSlave of Rome.brbrRefrain:brLet us join in a cohort,brWe are ready to die.brWe are ready to die,brItaly has called.brLet us join in a cohort,brWe are ready to die.
