The Charlotte Maxeke hospital in Johannesburg will be closed for the rest of the week after a fire last Friday. Patients had to be evacuated and moved to different hospitals across the province. Reports also suggest the facility did not have working fire hydrants and that there was a general lack of maintenance at the hospital. Concerns of neglect have been raised in the past.
