NSW government pays Chinese coal giant $100m for land

The New South Wales Deputy Premier, John Barilaro, has declared there will never be mining on the Liverpool Plains. The government will pay Chinese coal giant Shenhua $100m to relinquish its exploration license on more than 600 hectares of prime agricultural land.
