Congress leader and former chief minister Oommen Chandy offered prayers at Puthuppally Church in Kottayam on May 2 as the counting of votes has begun in the Union territory. He is also the party's candidate from Puthuppally Assembly constituency. The Congress government had collapsed as former CM V Narayanasamy failed to prove his majority in the floor test.
