Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the overall winner Egan Bernal said: “I can't believe what's happening, I have just won the Giro d'Italia, I really have no words. I have had two difficult years with some problems that I hope to have put behind me with this success. The Maglia Rosa is special and the Giro is the most beautiful race in the world. I have no words to describe everything I feel. In this race I found the freedom to ride as I like, I will never forget these three weeks."

The stage winner Filippo Ganna said: "To win my fifth ITT in the Giro is fantastic. Today I also beat bad luck, I had a puncture but I managed to change the bike really fast, like an F1 pit stop. As a team, we brought home a beautiful result. Egan Bernal did something wonderful that has been built over these last three weeks. We worked hard to keep Egan always at the front of the peloton: this Maglia Rosa is a success for the whole team and thanks to Egan for having finished it all off in the best possible way."

Egan Bernal, vincitore del 104^ Giro d’Italia, subito dopo l'arrivo, ha dichiarato: “Non riesco a credere a quello che sta succedendo, ho appena vinto il Giro d'Italia. Tutte queste bandiere colombiane in questa piazza mi danno una grandissima emozione. Vengo da due anni difficili con dei problemi che spero di aver messo alle spalle con questo successo. La Maglia Rosa è speciale e il Giro è la corsa più bella del mondo. Non ho parole per descrivere tutto quello che sento. In questa corsa ho trovato la libertà di correre come mi piace, non dimenticherò mai di queste tre settimane".

Il vincitore di tappa Filippo Ganna, subito dopo l'arrivo, ha dichiarato: "Questo è il mio quinto successo in una prova a cronometro al Giro, un risultato incredibile. Oggi ho battuto anche la sfortuna, con la foratura che nel finale mi ha costretto a cambiare la bici. Abbiamo portato a casa un bellissimo risultato con Egan Bernal che ha fatto qualcosa di stupendo. Tutta la squadra ha lavorato tanto per tenere Egan sempre davanti e fuori dai pericoli. Questa Maglia Rosa è un successo di tutto il team: grazie a Egan per averlo finalizzato al meglio".
