The Federal Court has approved a settlement worth more than 1.8 billion dollars between the Commonwealth and a class action group over the unlawful Robodebt recovery program. Delivering his judgement, Justice Bernard Heath described it as a shameful chapter in the administration of the Commonwealth social security system.
