Stage 4 blackouts are underway. They kicked in at 2 o'clock and will continue until 10pm tonight. Eskom says they are due to additional breakdowns at the Medupi and Duvha Power Stations. It is hoping to ration emergency generation reserves, which have been depleted. Stage 2 blackouts will come back into effect after 10pm.
