Muhyiddin announces BKC cash handout, including for M40

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin today announced another RM150 billion aid packaged dubbed “Pemulih”, which stands for Pakej Perlindungan Rakyat dan Pemulihan Ekonomi (People’s protection and economic recovery package).br br It is the largest package by the Perikatan Nasional government since the RM250 billion Prihatin package announced in March last year when the country went into a lockdown for the first time.br br Under the Bantuan Khas Covid-19 (BKC) cash handout scheme, some households can receive up to RM1,300 over three months.br br For Hardcore poor (household)br August: RM500br November: RM500br December: RM300br br For hardcore poor (singles)br August: RM200br November: RM300br br For B40 (household)br August: RM500br December: RM300br br For B40 (singles)br August: RM200br br For M40 (household)br August: RM250br br For M40 (singles)br August: RM100br br The total cost is RM4.6 billion.
