br br br The Government says this nation cannot afford to give away its rights on oil, natural gas and tourism revenues as it proposes more autonomy for Tobago over its affairs.br br But the Opposition says the people in Tobago were not consulted as they should have on the matter.br br Both sides of the House of Representatives put forward their respective positions as they debated the issue in the Parliament on Monday.br br Juhel Browne reports.
