This was the last time ATV regulary closed down in the Midlands on the 31st of December 1981 at 12.30 and Mike Prince and Shaw Taylor say goodbye to ATV for the final time and which would be resurrected as Central over nine hours later and also a detailed announcement with Mike Prince signing us off for the night.
Also a church organ version of the national anthem is played for the final time with the clock.
