Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is visiting Kerala today, August 16, to do an on-ground assessment of the Covid-19 situation in the southern state, which is reporting over 50 per cent of India's daily caseload and a positivity rate of 13.97 per cent. Mandaviya will also be visiting Assam tomorrow to attend a meeting with the health ministers of the region, where Meghalaya and Mizoram have been witnessing a surge in the number of coronavirus cases.
