#ImamHussain #Poem #GulnaarFatima br br MERI TASAWWUR KI NIGAHON SE br br Written & Recited by : Gulnaar Fatimabr Concept by : Shahwaz Mirzabr br The month of supreme sacrifice is here,br I envision the grandson of Prophet- My master Hussainbr His face splashed with the blood of his loved ones,br Of divine light emanating out of his celestial being…br br In moments of my own loneliness,br I sometimes wonder what it must have been,br For the King of martyrs to hear a sniveling silencebr In response to his call of aid,br While his sons, brothers, nephews and comrades’ br Lifeless bodies lay helplessbr Because of the burden of their deep slumber..br br Pained at the unfulfillment of my own hopes,br I imagined myself writing his namebr On the sands of Karbala and engraving itbr With tears of regret and anguishbr Then collected and smearedbr My mournful face with the same dust…br br The Euphrates of my sorrow gushes unrelentingly,br As I remember my steps taken in His disobedience,br I see children in tents with their bruised, blistered feetbr Hiding behind their mothers to escape the fire of Namroodbr The helplessness of whose aches my heart beyond measure..br br In these times of an unceasing pandemic,br Uncertainty looms over at our existence,br Robbing us of our peace and ambition,br But fails miserably to cause tremorsbr In our fortress of spiritual questbr br We are waiting for the Messiah of Peacebr His Last Proof Imam Mahdi –The Saviorbr To emerge from the clouds of Divine Willbr Hold our hands to transcend the oceanbr Of mortality to an abode of perpetual salvation..
