Pinjra Tod hold a night march in solidarity with BHU students

On September 28, Pinjra Tod, a women's’ collective, organised a night march in solidarity with the students of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), in Delhi University North Campus. The march started around 8 pm in the Arts faculty and crossed almost all the colleges.br br It was decided that the BHU students, who are in Delhi, will join the march. However, the march had to be held without them as they were detained by the police on their way to the Prime Minister’s residence to submit a memorandum against recent police action on their campus.br br Pinjra Tod activists also used this opportunity to highlight other issues such as the forceful confinement of Hadiya, the missing JNU student Najeeb Ahmed, attack on the Gender Sensitisation Committee Against Sexual Harassment (GSCASH) in JNU, arbitrary fee hikes in women's hostel of Jamia Milia Islamia, disparity in women’s and men’s hostel fees in Hindu College.
