Refusing to commit to global targets on cutting methane emissions may not be about the agriculture sector

Australia has refused to join other countries in committing to a global pledge to cut methane emissions. Methane is considered to be one of the most potent greenhouse gases and second-biggest contributor to global warming behind only carbon dioxide, but Dr Emma Aisbett says Australia’s refusal is actually about protecting the fossil fuel industry.
