Uttar Pradesh’s Purvanchal Expressway will enable landingtake-off of Indian Air Force fighter planes in case of emergencies. The 341-km-long expressway begins from village Chaudsarai in Lucknow and ends at village Hydaria located on National Highway 31 – 18 km east of the UP-Bihar border. The expressway is six lanes wide, and can be expanded to eight lanes in the future.
