Maidstone Borough Council will send an open letter to the government backing a proposal that 16 year olds should be able to vote. Councillors overwhelmingly supported the idea when it was put to a vote last night.br br Lib Dem Councillor Brian Clark put forward the motion and at the council meeting. He told us he was very pleased with the result.
