Today is World Disabled Day. Every year on 3rd December, this day is known to discuss the current status of the disabled in the society, to take them forward and to discuss the future welfare schemes. The importance of World Disabled Day increases when it comes to the rights of persons with disabilities. This is the only day when the welfare of disabled persons is talked about. This day holds special significance to curb the neglect happening in the society and the things that are viewed with inferiority complex.

आज विश्व विकलांग दिवस (World Disabled Day) है। हर साल 3 दिसंबर (3 December) का दिन दुनियाभर में दिव्यांगों की समाज में मौजूदा स्थिति, उन्हें आगे बढ़ाने और सुनहरे भविष्य के भावी कल्याणकारी योजनाओं पर विचार-विमर्श करने के लिए ये दिन जाना जाता है। विश्व विकलांग दिवस का महत्व तब बढ़ जाता है, जब बात विकलांग व्यक्तियों के अधिकारों की आती है. यही एक ऐसा दिन होता है, जब विकलांग व्यक्तियों के कल्याण की बातें की जाती हैं. समाज में हो रही उपेक्षा और उन्हें हीन भावना से देखे जाने वाली बातों पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए ये दिन ख़ास अहमियत रखता है.
