As soon as petrol prices reached the level of Rs 113 in Mumbai in October 2021, there was an outcry in the country. The state and central governments have taken steps to reduce the burden by reducing the state tax, but still fuel prices have not come down much. There are many such cities in the world where even today petrol is being sold very expensive as compared to India.
