Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim on Tuesday (Dec 7) said the use of convoy escorts or a marshal without the participation of the police is an offence.
He added that a police permit was necessary to ensure that every convoy activity would run smoothly in compliance with rules and regulations, without causing harm to other road users.
