The ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi Alliance (MVA) has suffered a setback in the Legislative Council elections of Maharashtra. BJP has won Nagpur and Akola seats, BJP won 4 out of 6 seats in Maharashtra Legislative Council elections. Chandrashekhar Bawankule of BJP has won the MLC election from Nagpur.
