Professor Neena Gupta, a mathematician at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, became the third woman and the fourth Indian to win the prestigious Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians earlier this month. Gupta was awarded '2021 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians for her outstanding work in affine algebraic geometry and commutative algebra.
