The Jharkhand Assembly on December 21 passed the 'Prevention of Mob Violence and Mob Lynching Bill 2021' by voice vote to strictly deal with cases of mob lynching. This bill will become law after getting the assent of the Governor. After becoming a law, those involved in mob lynching and its perpetrators will be sentenced to life imprisonment.
