The Hong Kong government has presented an ambitious plan to develop land near the city’s border with mainland China into a “Northern Metropolis” which will serve as an economic and residential hub for some 2.5 million residents. The plan includes building a “technopole” in the San Tin area that is being touted as “Hong Kong’s version of Silicon Valley”.
