Devotees thronged the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and took holy dip in the Ganga river at the Ghats despite cold waves and dense fog on January 02. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature of Varanasi drops to 9 degrees Celsius. “Cold will come and go, but celebrating New Year, visiting the Kashi Vishwanath corridor and bathing in the Ganga River is very fortunate," Devotee said.
