Heavy rains lashed Delhi and adjoining areas through the intervening night between Friday and Saturday. Indicating that the rain would not let up for a little while longer, the Indian Meteorological Department informed that a thunderstorm with moderate to heavy intensity rain would occur over Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and adjoining areas.
