The Election Commission of India on Sarturday (January 8, 2022) announced the dates for assembly polls in five states at 3.30 pm. The poll body, in a press conference, declared the schedule for the much-awaited polls in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur. While the term of the current Uttar Pradesh assembly is ending in May, those of the other four assemblies are ending in March. Election Commission के मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त Sushil Chandra ने बताया कि 7 चरणों में Assembly Elections के लिए वोट डाले जाएंगे. चुनाव आयोग के मुताबिक First Phase के लिए 10 फरवरी को वोटिंग होगी. 7 मार्च 2022 को Last Phase के लिए वोट डाले जाएगे. वहीं 10 मार्च को नतीजे आएंगे. चुनाव की तारीखों के ऐलान के साथ ही आदर्श आचार संहिता लागू हो गई है.
