Health Ministry's MDA seizes unregistered Covid-19 self-test kits worth RM10,000 in raid

1,530 units of Covid-19 self-test kits, estimated to be worth RM10,000, were seized in an operation on a health product marketing company in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Jan 20).
The Health Ministry's Medical Device Authority (MDA) chief executive Ahmad Shariff Hambali told reporters the inspection found that the company had violated the license conditions by importing the test kits without the permission of an authorised representative and distributing without conditional approval from the MDA.
