Critically endangered orange-bellied parrot species hatching in Tasmania

The first orange-bellied parrot nestlings of the season are hatching at Melaleuca in Tasmania's south-west. It's the only place the critically-endangered parrot breeds in the wild and scientists and volunteers have been busy monitoring their nests.
