Dogecoin Fees Skyrocketed in 2021

2021 saw the largest increase in Dogecoin’s fees in its history. According to data from Forex Suggest, Dogecoin fees rose more than 4000 from 1 cent to nearly 50 cents in just 1 year. Ripple also recorded massive increases in fees, noting that it saw more than a 3800 increase in 2021. Meanwhile, Ethereum fees rose nearly 1500. Forex Suggest attributes these increases to a massive increase in demand for smart contracts. Even so, Dogecoin remains one of the cheapest blockchains. At press time, Dogecoin was sitting at 11.69 cents, up more than 2 on an increase in volume and a rise in its market cap.
