The prostate is a gland found in men. Infection in the prostate can occur due to bacterial infection or other problem. If there is a prostate infection, there may be a problem of burning or pain while passing urine. Some people consider prostate infection to be prostate cancer but this is wrong. It is not necessary that a prostate infection means prostate cancer, nor does having a prostate infection increase the risk of prostate cancer.
