Long-term alcohol bans in dozens of town camps and communities across the Northern Territory could soon be a thing of the past... with the Commonwealth restrictions set to end... in July... after fifteen years.

If the laws expire as scheduled... the remote communities affected could then opt-in to voluntary liquor bans... but will also have the freedom to choose whether they want to have some alcohol allowed in... moving forward.
