Police will deploy personnel to 30 traffic congestion hotspots and 41 accident spots in Johor to monitor the traffic situation and ensure smooth traffic flow in anticipation of tens of thousands of vehicles are expected to enter Johor from Singapore during the upcoming holiday season, says Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat.
The Johor police chief said that after launching the Op Selamat programme on Thursday (April 28), which begins on April 29 until May 8, to combat break-ins and minimise traffic accidents in conjunction with the Labour Day and Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
