Reserve Bank raises interest rates for first time in 11 years

The Reserve Bank board has increased the cash rate by 25 basis points to 0.35 in a bid to curb inflation. It's the first rates rise in more than 10 years, with the central bank saying it is the right time to begin withdrawing stimulus.
