Former Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Regional Director Dharamveer Sharma has said that Qutub Minar was actually Surya Stambh. He claimed it was not built by the Mughals but by Emperor Vikramaditya. Dharamveer Sharma said the tower was an observatory to count constellations.
