BrihanMumbai Electric Supply and Transport i.e. BEST bus is all set to get its first woman driver next week onward. 42-year-old Laxmi Jadhav has broken the glass ceiling and has become the first woman taken on board to drive the BEST buses. In a first for the century-old city transportation service, women will be employed to drive the buses and serve as conductors as well.
