Talking about Uttar Pradesh, Congress has only two MLAs here, so it is not a contender for any Rajya Sabha seat from here. From the remaining 7 states, it has announced its candidates for 10 Rajya Sabha seats. One very interesting factor here is that out of the 10 Rajya Sabha candidates of the Congress, it has given preference to the faces coming from Uttar Pradesh.
